Set in the sinister New England countryside of H.P. Lovecraft, this PC CD-ROM adventure game challenges players to escape the evil clutches of Cthulu. Veteran computer book author Steve Schwartz provides fascinating hints, tips, and strategies for mastering the game. The book includes a saved-games floppy disk, enabling players to jump directly to key points in the game.
Author note: Although the game has no exact parallel in H.P. Lovecraft's strange short stories, it's closest to his tale The Call of Cthulhu (1928). To familiarize gamers with Lovecraft's writings, I obtained permission from his estate to reprint this wonderful 30-page story at the end of the book.
